Acha Curry House @ Petaling Garden *Revisited*

With popular demand and extreme craving for banana leaf rice, we are back at Acha Curry House last Sunday. Wow, what a crowd even before 12pm! Thank god, we managed to secure a parking place and hot seats. As mentioned earlier in my first post, I will be back for their Fried Sotong and here is my thoughts for the 2nd try.

5 types of curries all over the indian rice along with 4 types of vegetables, pappadam and their signature ikan bilis. We ordered Fried Fish, Fried Bittergourd and Fried Sotong for sharing!

The star of the meal-Fried Sotong. As you can see from the picture, they fried it the chinese way instead of the indian way. Very soft and crunchy even after a while. Fried it fresh as on when you order it. Recommended!

Also spotted the sunday speacial, vegetarian briyani. Would definitely be back soon for their briyani rice and other side dishes. Service was good too!

Only U Restaurant @ Glenmarie

The name of the restaurant brings you some memories of the good old song "Only You"? Only you is the place if you're looking for Prawn Mee, Kampar Noodle, Curry Mee, Asam Laksa & White Pepper Pig Stomach Noodle. Sounds interesting, let's move on to the taste of their food.

Very big portion of prawn mee. It tasted okay if compare to the original penang one. However, for KL standard, it is considered good. Nowadays, it is kinda of difficult to find a good in KL.

Kampar Hor Hee. Being a mee hun lover my colleague opted for mee hun so please ignore the mee hun.

My favourite Fried Pork Curry Noodle! The curry is not those type with heavy santan cream but it will be just nice for lunch. Why I like this curry noodle because they served with "Nam Yu Pork" rather than curry chicken. Curry chicken too common.

Only U can be very crowded during peak lunch hour but luckily they occupied 2 lots thus it is big enough for big crowd. Pokemon Go lover! Please take note, there is a pokestop inside the restaurant so enjoy stocking in your pokeballs every 5 minutes.

Vibes Cafe @ Utropolis Glenmarie *Revisited*

Revisited Vibes Cafe on 3rd day of Raya 2016. Treat ourselves with good food on a moody working day will be the best remedy ever! However, due to many eateries were closed for raya holiday our visit this round was a little bit of letdown as their service was extremely slow.

Piccolo Latte Double Shot

Hot Latte

I wanted to their try their nasi lemak ayam goreng/chicken chop but both were not available. So sad, that I have to end up with "Butter Cream Pasta with Beef Bacon" that I ordered before. Luckily, it did not disappoint me.

Honey Mustard Chicken Wrap

Butter Cream Pasta with Chicken Ham

Nasi Lemak with Sotong Sambal. The price was a little bit pricey at RM13.90. Ayam Goreng Berempah will be more worth it.

Spaghetti Bolognese

A&W @ Petaling Jaya Drive In

Selamat Hari Raya! What a lovely 2 days holiday from work! That is why I love Malaysia! Full of public holidays! Muahaha. First visited Nu Sentral but left after 3 hours, nothing much to explore there. But, it is still too early to call off the day thus we dropped  by at our family childhood memories A&W!

A&W was the first fast food restaurant in Malaysia unfortunately our this favourite fast food chain of root beer float couldn't really survive well and only left with 20++ outlets in Malaysia. I used to visit their outlets at IOI Mall & Sunway Pyramid but all have closed down.

All time favourite single scoop root beer float + Curly Fries!

Dad was craving for their waffle. Waited for quite some time too. *Sigh*

Little Fat Duck @ Utropolis, Glenmarie

Had always wanted to try this famous food truck pasta in SS15 Subang. It has now landed nearby my office at Utropolis! No reason to say no right? Thus, I had my first buka puasa meal for 2016 with malay colleague.

There is something that you need to take note. They do charge RM1 per empty box if you plan to share share with your buddy.

Carbonara Upsize because the original portion was not big enough for sharing. I would say the portion will only be just nice if you're not planning for upsize. Guys may need to consider upsize though. RM3 per upsize.

So we ber-iftar with these 3 meals (Chicken Confit, Carbonara & Mornay) + 2 Ice Lemon Tea + 1 Vanilla Pudding. Total damage = RM32

Where: Utropolis, Glenmarie

Moonlight Cake House @ Puchong Jaya

Spotted this bakery in Puchong Jalan Kenari that is famous of its signature durian cake that everyone shared on Facebook. 3-storey shoplot with ground floor as its bakery and the rest as cafe. The smell of coffee fragrant actually first attracted my attention. Next, it will be their varieties of mille crepe cakes. Tried their Oreo crepe because Nadeje do not have this flavour, turned out to be good!

Hot Latte - RM13

Baked Fish Rice - Their coffee and pastry were good but they must improve on their food taste if they strive for long term survival for their cafe

Spring Onion Pizza - Yo! My favourite back in Taiwan trip! Moonlight improvise on this taiwan snack by adding cheese to its flavour! Definitely will come back for more at only RM2.7 per piece!

Shi Yue Tian Claypot Chicken Rice @ Puchong Jaya

Just when we were struggling what to eat on a saturday weekend, I googled for Puchong Top 10 Restaurant and was directed to this "Shi Yue Tian Claypot Chicken Rice" restaurant.
It was not being typical serving only claypot chicken rice and steam soup, it also served varieties of noodles and dishes.

What's best to serve together with claypot chicken rice other than steam soup! We ordered Chinese Old Melon and Lotus Root Peanuts soup. Both boiled together with spare ribs and chicken feet.

Green Vegetables

There comes the main character! With added salted fish and chinese sausage. My family commented that it tasted so so but I somehow enjoyed the flavorful rice and marinated chicken. That is why I always say different people have different preferences and this is very subjective. *Just follow your heart*

Restoran Nawas Maju @ Glenmarie

Being a maggie goreng lover, I always scout for the most delicious one. However, due to health conscious reason I have recently cut down on this.

Maggie Goreng Kosong with telur goreng add on! Perfect match with Teh O Limau Ice!

Restoran Nawas also offers varieties of mamak food. I however received feedback that the hygiene of the restaurant is one big issue. Well, I have yet to discover anything ugly so let it be for now while I enjoy my maggie goreng.

Lim Fried Chicken @ Glenmarie

When your colleague craving for fried chicken but most of us do not wish to eat at Texas Chicken, the solution will be Lim Fried Chicken! Chinese style nasi lemak with juicy fried chicken.

Rice with curry sauce, sambal, white cabbage and of course the juicy fried chicken! This plate cost me RM9.50 because the fried chicken itself is RM6.50. Wow! It is indeed pricey but once in a blue moon, still acceptable for the fried chicken.

Another colleague of mine add on Fried Egg and Curry Chicken Feet and it simply cost her RM11 for the meal. They do have Fried Ikan Kembung, salted egg and long bean as add on but do bear in mind it can be quite costly for each add on.

Where: Glenmarie
Location: 3.5/5 *It can be very suffering to find parking during lunch hour. There is an open space car park opposite Lim Fried Chicken that you can try your luck there*

Vibes Cafe @ Utropolis Glenmarie

Checked out this new place nearby my office, Utropolis. Had a great catch up with Imelda after toastmaster event.

Ice Flat White - Tasted as good as the picture

Some berry berry juice, forgotten its actual name

Butter Cream Carbonara with crispy Beef Bacon as additional toppings. Alright, not too "jelak" feeling.

Beef Pie Set

We were so "pai seh", didn't know that it is self service concept we actually ordered from our table. So, yeah it is self service concept and they also had the mini menu board on each table apart from the hang up black board menu.

Overall, we were pretty satisfied with the service and food. Perfect for girls talk with its cafe ambiance.

Yang Kee Beef Noodle @ Seapark

I have never realised that nearby my ex company, there is another beef noodle with the name of Yang Kee. The owner is a middle age man where as the OUG one was a lady. Other than that, they served the same homemade noodle with minced meat as topping for dry version. This version has always been my favourite.

Personal review, to be honest I prefer the OUG's one. This noodle abit on the overcooked side. Minced meat was good but the beef balls could be better.

If you happen to be nearby and you're a beef noodle lover, you may drop by. But, please bear in mind it could be very hot and you may feel stuffy during lunch crowd. As comparison, OUG's restaurant condition slightly more comfortable as they are equipped with air-conditioner.
