Acha Curry House@Petaling Garden

On leave today, thus as recommended by Mum I've decided to give it a try despite the hot weather out there! Luckily the fan inside the restaurant was powerful enough to stop me from sweating.

Alright, enough of the hot weather lets switch to the banana leaf rice! Standard Banana Leaf Rice with 4 varieties of vegetables, rice and my favourite pappadam. Add on their signature ikan bilis sambal for RM1. I tell you the RM1 is super worth it for the crunchy ikan bilis!

Tadaa.....Picture shows it all right? Mix in dhal, chicken, fish, crab & salted fish curries to my rice. Additionally ordered Fried chicken and Fried Tenggiri Fish and both were so tender and well marinated. Overall, I had a satisfying and reasonable price meal. Will drop by again during weekend for their Fried Sotong.

Nando's@Atria Shopping Gallery

Do you know you can now redeem free chicken from your favourite peri peri chicken restaurant? Want to know how? Visit your apps store and download nandos apps. Sign up as a member and you earn 1 chilli for a minimum spend of RM30 per visit.

Check out this screen shot of my apps! Just order a quarter chicken meal and a signature drink, you reach the minimum limit of RM30.

Thank You Nando's Peri-Vilege! I redeemed a Whole Chicken! Do take note that all the add on sides of coleslaw, rice and wedges were ordered separately.

They now also have this new peri peri sauce flavour, Wild Herbs! My favourite! Not too spicy as compared to Hot peri peri flavour and with a lemon herbs finishing. Perfect dipping with peri peri wedges. Yummy!

Vary Pasta @ Damansara Jaya

Vary Pasta was recommended by BK colleague and I first tried this pasta for Joey's Birthday celebration. They served affordable lunch set. A choice of pasta, soup, dessert and drinks.

Black Pepper Chicken Chop Pasta with Fries. The alio olio is on a slight dry side for my liking but the chicken chop was very tender. The hot piping fries was great too!

Pork Carbonara Pasta. Heavy cream with pork bacon and ham.

The cafe ambiance was a very old classic type. Seats could be limited during peak hours.

Yang Kee Beef Noodle @ OUG

All time favourite beef ball noodle at Yang Kee! Drop by for brunch after church service at Bukit Jalil. It never failed to disappoint me and in my opinion, Soong Kee Beef Noodle in KL is their only competitor as off now.

Look at that generous topping of minced beef! Flavorful beef soup, tender beef slices and springy beef ball blend very well with a bowl of dry noodle.

Dian Hou Xin Wo Steamboat @ Kelana Jaya

My first visit to Dian Hou Xin Wo was during little cousin Janelle's full moon party. Apparently we booked the whole restaurant for the event and we really enjoyed the privacy.

What has attracted me to be back for 2nd and 3rd time:

  1. Fresh
  2. Taste
  3. Non MSG *You know when you don't feel thristy after meal*
  4. Comfort

Their homemade fresh balls must order!
  1. Pork Ball with Mushroom
  2. Pork Ball with Salted Egg
  3. NZ Meat Ball
  4. Seafood Ball
  5. Prawn Ball
  6. Chicken Ball with Quill Egg

4 types of broth selection:
  1. Pork Bone Soup
  2. Tom Yam Soup
  3. Black Herbal Chicken Soup
  4. Crabmeat Soup

My last visit cost us approximately RM40++ per person. I agree it is not cheap but I am willing to pay for the quality than other bad steamboat buffet. After all, pamper myself once in a blue moon. Hehe.

Sri Melur Jaya @ SS19, Subang

How can you miss roti canai when you're in Malaysia! Off so far that I have tasted, I must admit that Sri Melur is the best! Fluffy roti canai won't go wrong with a cup of teh tarik and that's the best combination in a mamak stall.

Fluffy roti + fish curry + dhall sauce + sambal. One piece ain't enough for ya!

Sri Melur also offer varieties of other mamak delicacies such as maggie goreng, Nasi Briyani and etc. However, you may find it difficult to place order here as the waiter could be walking around and working on the eye contact with customers. This is something that Sri Melur need to work at.

Epicuro @ Taipan, USJ

I remembered I first tried Epicuro 2 years ago at their Uptown Damansara outet and the carbonara was great! I was so delighted to know that they now have their 2nd outlet at Taipan which is nearer to me! Yeah! Let's check out on their Taipan oulet.

Carbonara - Not too heavy on the cream and the poached egg added smooth to the cream. Generous filling of pork bacon.

Fish & Chip - 3 pieces of fish fillets + garden salad + signature chips. Specially love their flavorful chips and you can order as sides if you couldn't resist the temptation.

Tiramisu - With the added alcohol that bring up the taste of the tiramisu, just nice!

Affogato - This coffee based dessert could have blend well with vanila unfortunately they only have salted caramel flavour on my visit.

Their taipan outlet was not a letdown at all. I can put my mind on ease and need not have to travel far to dine in.

Yi Poh Lou Shi Fun 姨婆老鼠粉 @ Seremban

My 3rd visit at Yi Poh lou shi fun. It has been a routine to drop by Seremban for this every CNY. As usual, during CNY it will be crowded everywhere and Yi Poh is no exceptional. You may opt to dine in at the air conditioning section or non-aircond section but be prepared to endure the heatness in Malaysia.

The authentic lou shi fun with generous amount of minced pork and char siew. My uncle had not enough with a bowl. The portion might be small for a guy. Guys, be prepared to order more than 1.

Another signature hakka mee. Springy noodle and flavorful noodle sauce. Being a lou shi fun fans, I personally prefer this hakka mee.

There is a lot more of side dishes (Fried Wantan, pork ball soup, fish ball etc) that you can add in to your ordering list. I also understand that they have now branches in Klang Valley. Puchong being the nearest to me. But, well I always prefer choosing the original outlet for the safer side.

Haagen-Dazs @ Sunway Pyramid

Met up with BK ex-colleagues and since Mr.R has joined Haagen Dazs (HD)for months, is it totally unacceptable if we don't make a trip to HD. Muahahaha.

We decided that this Seventh Heaven should be just nice for 4 of us. This is how it looks like on the menu.

Clockwise: Blueberry, Green Tea, Belgian Chocolate, Strawberry, Mango, Coffee and Macadamia Nut. Average per scoop RM9.78 which is still slightly cheaper than its single scoop and it serve with fruits. Perfect for sharing.
