Seremban Seafood Village @ Seremban

Happy New Year!! I am back after missing in actions for months. Apologize as I have been very busy lately with new job. Being a food lover, I am back to F&B industry!

Anyway, lets kick start 2017 with good food! Lets start with seafood! Seremban has been very famous with its baked crab and finally last month I had a finger licking moment with my Aussie friend.

We paid RM80 for this cutie but it was lovely! The crab was very fresh and just nice to eat with its signature dipping sauce.

Side Dishes - La La Fried Meehoon

The total damage was near to RM100 included drinks for 2 pax. Not cheap that's for sure and be prepared to burn a hole in your pocket but since we drove all the way to Seremban, this is something not to miss.

Meng Kee Char Siew @ Glenmarie

Meng Kee Char Siew, this name shouldn't be a stranger to Glenmarie's folks as the tasty char siew's fame had been quite some time. My favourite order had always be the char siew rice but this morning, we had decided to tried their wan tan mee instead and it was a good as ever!

The char siew never failed to satisfy with generous serving of fried wantan and wantan soup

Add on Char Siew. Mum didn't really like their watery chilli sauce but I actually feel that it goes well with the char siew.

I seldom order their steam chicken but decided to give it a try this round, add on quarter steam chicken and WOW! So juicy and tender! More reason to visit Meng Kee.

It is very unfortunate that I now work nearer to Ara Damansara side, thus no longer can travel back to Glenmarie for this. Fret not because when there is a will, there is a way. I can always drop by during weekend!

Goreng Kuey Teow Tong Shin @ Bandar Puteri Puchong

It has been so long and when we missed char kuey teow so badly in KL, we headed to Puchong! If you're looking for a "wok hei" type of char kuey teow, you should try this!
Imagine when you have a sudden craving for char kuey teow and you can't be driving all the way to Penang, that is where Goreng Kuey Teow Tong Shin could help to quench your thirst.

I guess the picture says it all? Aren't the chinese sausages are too lovely to be munched? Generous amount of pork lard added into it.

My next favourite here - Chinese Fried Rice. Very flavorful fried rice with chinese sausages, prawn & fish cake.

Just in case if you're a non lover of both fried rice and char kuey teow, they also served loh mee, prawn mee and pork noodle here. I would recommend the loh mee & prawn mee and their signature popiah is good too!

Beef Bacon Mac & Cheese + Ice Lemon Tea - RM16

Generous portion of Fried Chicken Chop

What is newly added in the menu also including Salted egg yolk series of fries and waffle. Next visit, Salted Egg Yolk series!

Ali, Muthu & Ah Hock @ Oasis Damansara

What's the best food in Malaysia? Of course it is Nasi Lemak! In the morning of Awal Muharam holiday, we went for breakie at Ali, Muthu & Ah Hock. What could not be missed here? Fried Chicken Nasi Lemak!

Signature Fried Chicken Nasi Lemak - RM11. You can see that this dishes is on almost all of the dine in table. The fried chicken came out piping hot from the kitchen every minutes.

Nasi Goreng Kampung - RM9. A little bit of spicy to kick off your day! Very flavorful fried rice with generous portion of chicken slice and anchovies with added fried egg.

Ali, Muthu & Ah Hock is kinda of similar to Village Park at Damansara Uptown. However, if you prefer a less crowded environment, Ali, Muthu & Ah Hock worth a try! Their nasi lemak would not be much of a difference from Village Park.

Fifties Cafe @ Temasya Glenmarie

Had a birthday lunch celebration with colleagues here. 12 of us and we made reservation few days earlier. Love the way Fifties Cafe handled our reservation. They even offer to pre-order and watsapp the picture of the menu. Well Done Fifties Cafe!

Fish & Chips. I am actually wondering where is the chips?? Lol.

Chicken Salad

Grill Salmon

Spicy Seafood Alio Olio

Chicken Cordon Bleu

As we had pre-order, we were actually expecting to kick start when we reached at 1.10pm. But, there was a slight disappointment when all the food only manage to be served at 1.20pm. Anyhow, I still love the cafe ambiance and their warm service. They also took a group picture using their smartphone and watsapp to me. This is something unusual. This cafe runs by a Malay and you may contact the friendly Kak Marina (012-306 2011) for reservation.

Grab It @ Utropolis, Glenmarie

Reward myself with good food on a lovely friday! Tried out this new place in Utropolis. Their soft serve ice cream is famous here with their main signature flavours - coconut, matcha & coffee.

For the first round, we tried out ice blended coconut shake (RM7.90) & coconut flavour soft serve ice cream (RM4.90). Both were good but it will be better if it is less sweet.

As for the meal, we had Fried Chicken Man Tao with signature salted egg yolk sauce & Fried Chicken bento with new spicy butter sauce. I am surprisingly shock that I am full after one man tao. Must be because of the coconut shake. Lol.

They have set lunch too but I choose ala carte because I don't fancy the drink that comes together with the set lunch. Next to try their Ice Blended Cafe Latte that looks very good! Better hope, picture not for illustration purpose only. Their bento and man tao were on the average side but I will still return for blended shake and soft serve ice cream.

OISO @ Utropolis Glenmarie

To a person that has never a fans of korean food, OISO changed my perception on korean food! A new eateries opened in July'16 at Utropolos and I am very satisfied with its food and services.

Chicken BBQ Set - RM22.50. The chicken can taste better, less BBQ taste but it did goes well with white rice and free flow condiments.

Seafood Ramen Set-RM16.50. Despite only 2 chillies remarks on their menu, but I couldn't resist the spicy-ness of this ramen! But, it tasted good with generous amount of seafood (shrimp, squid & clamp) and instant noodle.

Kimchi Ramen Set-RM14.50. Being a person that could not stand spicy-ness, this one actually suits me better. Recommended Ramen too.

Black Bean Noodle Set-RM18.50. Newly added to their menu for beef lover.

Acha Curry House @ Petaling Garden *Revisited*

With popular demand and extreme craving for banana leaf rice, we are back at Acha Curry House last Sunday. Wow, what a crowd even before 12pm! Thank god, we managed to secure a parking place and hot seats. As mentioned earlier in my first post, I will be back for their Fried Sotong and here is my thoughts for the 2nd try.

5 types of curries all over the indian rice along with 4 types of vegetables, pappadam and their signature ikan bilis. We ordered Fried Fish, Fried Bittergourd and Fried Sotong for sharing!

The star of the meal-Fried Sotong. As you can see from the picture, they fried it the chinese way instead of the indian way. Very soft and crunchy even after a while. Fried it fresh as on when you order it. Recommended!

Also spotted the sunday speacial, vegetarian briyani. Would definitely be back soon for their briyani rice and other side dishes. Service was good too!

Only U Restaurant @ Glenmarie

The name of the restaurant brings you some memories of the good old song "Only You"? Only you is the place if you're looking for Prawn Mee, Kampar Noodle, Curry Mee, Asam Laksa & White Pepper Pig Stomach Noodle. Sounds interesting, let's move on to the taste of their food.

Very big portion of prawn mee. It tasted okay if compare to the original penang one. However, for KL standard, it is considered good. Nowadays, it is kinda of difficult to find a good in KL.

Kampar Hor Hee. Being a mee hun lover my colleague opted for mee hun so please ignore the mee hun.

My favourite Fried Pork Curry Noodle! The curry is not those type with heavy santan cream but it will be just nice for lunch. Why I like this curry noodle because they served with "Nam Yu Pork" rather than curry chicken. Curry chicken too common.

Only U can be very crowded during peak lunch hour but luckily they occupied 2 lots thus it is big enough for big crowd. Pokemon Go lover! Please take note, there is a pokestop inside the restaurant so enjoy stocking in your pokeballs every 5 minutes.
